We didn't set out to build software. We set out to solve a problem we were living every day — and what we built changed everything.
Tayler Made Property Management Systems was born out of pure frustration. Our founder Laticia Hunter was managing several rental properties and found herself buried in spreadsheets, chasing down receipts, manually drafting leases, and paying hundreds of dollars a month for software that was overbuilt for large property management companies and completely misaligned with how an independent landlord actually works.
The breaking point came during tax season — hours spent trying to reconstruct a year's worth of rent payments and expenses from a patchwork of notes, emails, and bank statements. There had to be a better way.
So she built one. Tayler Made was designed from the ground up specifically for independent landlords — people who own between 1 and 100 units and just need a clean, smart system that handles everything from leases to invoices to vacancy postings without requiring an IT department to run it.
"To give every independent landlord — regardless of portfolio size — access to the same professional tools that large property management companies use, at a price that actually makes sense for a small business."
We looked at what platforms like AppFolio, Buildium, and Rentec Direct charge — and decided there was a better way to build a sustainable business without passing those costs onto landlords like you.
Our competitors pay for decades-old server infrastructure and large support teams. We're cloud-native from day one — built on modern tools that scale cheaply and efficiently.
We're bootstrapped and independently owned. We don't have venture capitalists demanding 10x returns — so we can price for what's fair, not what the market will bear.
We build exactly what independent landlords need — not bloated enterprise features you'll never use. Less complexity means lower costs, and we pass every dollar of those savings directly to you.
